We recently spent a week in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica at the Griss Lodge & Villas. The hotel was run by a nice young Italian couple Ricky and Sabina, and was walking distance to Playa Santa Teresa. The path to the beach is directly in front of the hotel and was full of wildlife. We spotted a family of howler monkeys a couple of times and our walk to and from from the beach.
The hotel is located next to the untouched jungles of Santa Teresa on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. The hotel consists of 6 luxury apartment houses built with local wood. Each room has a large front window that opens up the living quarters with a private air conditioned bedroom. The rooms are also equipped with a small kitchen and appliances to make your own meals.
The hotel also has a great pool that was relaxing and refreshing after spending the days at the beach. We had a great time and would Highly recommended staying at the Griss if they have anything open for you on your next trip to Santa Teresa.
