waiting for the sun… Well so far it has been a pretty uneventful summer here in San Diego as far as beach days. This is because the sun has been shining about as many days that you can count on one hand. If the sun isn’t shining it has been pretty gloomy, cold and gray. [...] It turns out that the 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Easter Sunday just outside of Mexicali in the Mexican State of Baja California was only just the beginning. We felt another quake on Monday morning, and more small trembles throughout the week. Then Lyndsey came home from her sign language class with Eli this afternoon and [...] We decided to work a half day yesterday so that we could take advantage of the uncrowded beach and 80 degree weather we are having here in San Diego. Needless to say it was Eli’s first official trip to the beach. He had been to the water and the cliffs a number of times, but [...] Southern California has been getting hit pretty hard with some storms and surf.
