waiting for the sun… Well so far it has been a pretty uneventful summer here in San Diego as far as beach days. This is because the sun has been shining about as many days that you can count on one hand. If the sun isn’t shining it has been pretty gloomy, cold and gray. [...] We really have not seen that much of the sun over the past couple of weeks. June gloom has turned into June/July Gloom. A little fun with the grom! Eli has been really been trying to figure our how to get mobile. A couple of days ago he figured out how to roll everywhere. We thought to ourselves,”Well that is what babes at 6 months do, but Eli is almost 9 months, I guess better late than never.” Then the very next day he [...] My brother and his wife were in town for a conference and we got to meet them for lunch the other day. My brother caught this cute picture of Eli as he was leaning against my shoulder. It was really cool to get to visit with them, even if it was only for a short time. We [...] On Saturday we decided to drive to Carmel Valley to check out the Evergreen Plant Nursery and pick up some flowers for the hanging pots in the yard. It was the largest wholesale nursery I’d ever been to. Basically they give you a map of the grounds and you drive around and load up your [...] Lyndsey had to take some pictures the other day, it turns out that Eli and I were wearing the same outfit. Black Tee, Blue Pants, Brown socks/shoes. We didn’t really notice until we were sitting together in the yard. This little guy has been such a joy to be around. He does allot of laughing and [...] Our friends had us out for a BBQ last Saturday in Rancho Santa Fe. It was Lyndsey, Eli and I along with five other couples, three of which had babies. One of the girls had a nice camera and took some cute picts of the the little ones. It amuses me how we spend so much [...] We decided to work a half day yesterday so that we could take advantage of the uncrowded beach and 80 degree weather we are having here in San Diego. Needless to say it was Eli’s first official trip to the beach. He had been to the water and the cliffs a number of times, but [...] I can’t believe that our little man-child turns 6 months today. He is a joy to have around and a great addition to our little family. It is amazing how fast he is developing and watching his mind began to comprehend things.
