I only call it funny now on account of how it turned out, but while it was taking place I was rather perplexed for a moment. I had just got out of the water after having a pretty fun session at [...] Eli is starting to get use to laying on his belly, so we thought that it would probably be a good idea that he get use to lying on a surfboard. He took to it pretty easy, almost too easy…it wasn’t long before he started giving the dog and chickens dirty looks almost as to say, [...] Southern California has been getting hit pretty hard with some storms and surf. I clipped this image from a swell chart this morning. For the most part the surf has been pretty much un-rideable due to the howling winds and rain. However a handful of locals knew where to go the other day when the winds [...] We, being the family, decided to go for a walk down at Sunset Cliffs the other day when the swell was still running. It was a wonderful afternoon so I decided to bring along the camera and the new lens to see what kind of pictures I could grab starting out 2010. Lyndsey snapped this shot [...] With the ice storms and nasty weather across many parts of the US today we knew that we had something to be thankful for on our walk this beautiful San Diego morning. It is a surf trip that some friends put together over 10 years ago. Kind of like of guy’s hunting or fishing trip, except the only thing we are hunting is good waves. The Turkey Trot always happens the weekend before Thanks Giving. It [...] We finally got some fun little waves a week ago so Lyndsey & Judah decided to come down to the cliffs and snap some shots of me trying to surf.
