We really have not seen that much of the sun over the past couple of weeks. June gloom has turned into June/July Gloom. Eli and the plants do not seem to mind as they continue to grow, sunshine or not. The Zucchini’s that we have been harvesting this year have been ridiculous. They just seam to get bigger and [...] A couple of weekends ago we sent out an email to a couple of our neighborhood friends to see if they’d like to partake in a garden party tour. This is the the area that is directly outside of our living room where we keep our fish tank and our seedlings. Aquaponics is is the symbiotic cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a recirculating environment. Fish waste from the pond/tank accumulates in water as a by-product of keeping them in a closed system. The dirty water becomes high in plant nutrients [...] Last Saturday we decided to get out of the house for a little so Lyndsey got on Craig’s List and found a lady that sales water plants out her yard in Imperial Beach.
