This season we started doing Farm to Table events up at Hacienda Okhra. It has been a great way to raise awareness about what we are growing as well as get to know more of the foody tourists that are starting to make their way into this part of the jungle.
We currently are offering two different events with different price points. One is an hour farm tasting tour with me then a local cook prepares bocas/appetizers with products directly from the farm with protein and wine from other organic vendors. The other option is an hour tasting farm tour with me and chef, then guests have five course meal prepared for them at sunset with locally grown food.
Right now we are doing a few events a month. So far it has been rewarding to meet different people from all around the world and share with them a variety of techniques and things that we have learned about growing in this part of the world.
