We have been very blessed with our aquaponics system and the continued growth of the fish and the vegetables even through this cooler fall season. The cymbidium orchids are starting to bloom. The above images is of the first batch this year. Three years ago Lyndsey and I picked up some of these wonderful orchids from my Grandma GG’s house. She has been growing different color cymbidium orchids for years and let us take a couple of different ones home so that [...] From Els 2nd B-ay Party For Eli’s second birthday we decided to go with the trash truck/collection site theme. We think that this would have been his choice of theme considering how into trash trucks he is. It is rather funny to us because we have friends who’s kids are totally obsessed with commercial items like [...]  The Aquaponic Hanging Garden is Filling in Great With all of the gardens and animals that our family has accumulated over the past few years we have a list of chores that we all do together on Saturday mornings to keep up our little place. The plants need to be watered, the gardens need to [...] Eli’s obsession with trash trucks is truly comical. To you and me this just may look like a trash truck coming down the alley, but to Eli and his buddy Benton this might just be the coolest thing that will happen this week. 
Big Egg Small Egg, what comes next.. most likely molting. I think that Blanch are Barred Plymouth Rock may be going into her 3rd molt. The small egg, and then the extra feathers may be a tale tale sign that she is ready to shed out of her old feathers into a nice new coat. [...] Recently we have had visits from some Swallowtail Caterpillars that are drawn to our fennel plant in the back yard. Last year we had the same visitors, so this year I thought that I would try to take some photos. The Swallowtail Caterpillars turn into colorful butterflies that are from the family Papilionidae.
